Usher’s Stage Performance Catalogue To Premiere on BET+ Next Month

Streaming platform BET+ will release a film early next month, which features various performances by R&B star Usher.

Titled Usher: Rendezvous in Paris, the project would arrive on May 8, 2025, as a collaboration between Sony Music Vision and BET+. It highlights Usher’s performance during a series of stage performances in Paris.

The film is said to have been put together when the award-winning artiste staged his week-long sold-out concert at La Seine Musicale in Paris, during the Paris Fashion Week.

According to the brains behind the production, audiences can expect stunning visuals, never-before-seen costumes, and an immersive light and effects show that brings Usher’s 30-year music catalogue to life.

Rendezvous in Paris is expected to feature live renditions of Usher’s top hits such as Yeah, My Boo, U Got It Bad, and others. It would also include some behind-the-scenes pictures of his performances.

In a statement following the announcement, Usher stated: “I’m happy to be partnering with BET+ to bring the celebration of my 30-year career to you, the fans, to enjoy from the comfort of your homes.”

Jason Harvey, General Manager of BET+, highlighted Usher’s musical impact throughout the years.

Usher: Rendezvous in Paris is more than a concert film—it’s a cultural moment that reflects the kind of bold, high-impact storytelling our audience expects from BET+,” Harvey said.

“We’re proud to partner with Usher and Sony Music Vision to deliver a cinematic event that centers Black excellence, artistry, and innovation,” he noted.

It was announced in March this year that Usher would receive an honorary doctorate and also deliver the keynote address at the 180th commencement at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.

He is expected to deliver the commencement speech to inspire the students and accept the honorary doctorate on May 12, 2025.

In a press release, he stated: “I have spent my life following my passion and trying to support young people as they find and follow their passions.

“I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to speak to these incredible Emory students as they graduate and prepare to make their mark on the world.”
