“What was already an amazing moment was peaked by a moment that I will remember forever,” Usher said candidly about his Elvis Presley impersonator-assisted ceremony with the Epic Records SVP of A&R.
“I was very happy to not only conclude my time in Las Vegas with the residency and then the Super Bowl but to start on a new journey with my amazing wife. I was very happy to do it there. It’s probably one of the easiest ceremonies that I’ve experienced in my life.”
Usher continued, “It was cool. It was something out of history. You hear about these kinds of things, but to have been able to do it was really a joyous moment between me and my wife, my children, and my intimate and immediate family who were there. It was an abrupt thing. We decided at the last minute to do it.”
Though the exact start of their relationship remains unclear, Goicoechea and Usher were first seen together in 2016, well before their romance began.
They went public with their relationship in 2019 when they were first spotted sharing a kiss at the Hollywood Bowl.
The couple welcomed their first child, daughter Sovereign Bo, on September 24, 2020. A year later, they expanded their family with the birth of their son, Sire Castrello, on September 29, 2021.
