Young Scooter: Cause of Death Of Rapper Released

Police have revealed the cause of death of rapper Young Scooter, indicating that he died from a “penetrating injury of the right thigh.” The report, available to some outlets, was released on Tuesday, April 1.

Rumors indicated that Young Scooter (born Kenneth Bailey) died on his 39th birthday following an altercation with Fulton County police officers.

“Mr. Bailey sustained a penetrating injury of his right thigh that created marked blood loss. This injury was not a gunshot wound.

“Mr. Bailey injured himself on organic (wooden) fencing material and/or woody debris after vaulting at least one fence,” the release from the police stated. It added that the rapper did not die of gunshot wound, as speculated.

“The Atlanta Police Department is aware of inaccurate comments and social media posts regarding the death of Kenneth Bailey.

“While we understand that many people are saddened by his passing, it is important to recognize that Atlanta police officers neither discharged their firearms nor used any force against Mr. Bailey,” the police noted.

According to reports, Scooter fled the scene when police arrived in response to gunshots being fired at a residence. A woman was allegedly seen being dragged into the residence, but officers found no trace of her upon arrival.

Sources said two men attempted to leave the residence, but only Scooter continued to evade capture by hopping two fences.

Officials, in the statement, sought for public assistance to help identify a female who called the police emergency line 911 regarding the incident.

The South Carolina-born artist was known for being one of the first artists signed to Future‘s FreeBandz label and Waka Flocka Flame‘s Brick Squad Monopoly under Gucci Mane‘s 1017 Records.

He often collaborated with other Atlanta-based artists like the Migos and Young Thug and was hailed for his work with Rick Ross, Juicy J, and Kodak Black. Some individuals in the music industry have expressed condolence following his death.
