Award-winning Hollywood actor Jamie Foxx has written a sincere birthday tribute to his sister, celebrating her birthday and taking time to thank her again for “saving his life.”
Jamie Foxx says that Deidre Dixon and his daughter Corinne were essential to his survival after his near-death experience last year.
“Yooooooooooo super big big big happy happy happy happy birthday to my wonderful sister Deidra Dixon!!!! You are amazing you are my light you saved my life. I repeat you saved my life!!!!!! I am forever grateful for you and today,” he wrote below a montage of him and Deidre dancing, drinking, and doing other things.
“I want you to turn up and enjoy. You are the best little Leo, real tears in my eyes right now I love you to the moon and back.!!! @frequency11,” he added.
Jamie Foxx finally opened up this month about his strange medical incident that happened in April 2023 when he was shooting the Netflix movie Back in Action.
“Look, April 11 last year, bad headache, asked my boy for an Advil [and] I was gone for 20 days. I don’t remember anything. I’m in Atlanta, they told me my sister and my daughter took me to the first doctor. The next doctor said, ‘There’s something going on up there. I won’t say it on camera… but it was,” he further explained while pointing to his head.
When the 56-year-old made his first public appearance at the Critics Choice Association’s Celebration of Cinema and Television in December 2023, he made a hazy reference to his ordeal.
