In a viral video, Bobbi Storm, a 36-year-old singer from Detroit, is seen almost getting kicked out on a flight in the middle of a personal musical concert.
On November 11, Storm posted a video of herself trying to perform her new song on her Instagram page. She was heard bragging that her song was “charting on the billboards,” as she was seen in the video going down the aisle.
Storm refused to comply with the flight attendant’s request to sit down, claiming that the seat belt sign was off.
She eventually said, “I just found out I’m up for two Grammys,” as she sat down. It’s my first time, you guys. “I sing for the Lord, and my song, ‘We Can’t Forget Him,’ is available on all platforms. I want to share this with all of you, Storm continued.
Her announcement did not impress the flight attendant, though, and she was told to keep quiet.
Bobbi insisted that the passengers were enjoying her song and would not stop talking.
The crew member remarked, “Well, I’m not enjoying it,” though. Could you please keep quiet? The singer, who is nominated for a Grammy, persisted and asked, “Am I going to jail if I don’t?” He merely asked her to be quiet in response, but she refused, saying, “I’m doing what the Lord is telling me to do.”
After becoming frustrated with Storm’s nonstop attitude, the staff member said, “I need you to follow my instructions.” I want you to respond to my question. Can you please be quiet for the moment? She responded by posing the question to other flyers. The crew member became enraged and yelled, “OK, if you’re not able to follow my instructions, you will not be taking this flight,” when he did not receive a response from the crowd.
“If that’s the case, then that’s fine,” Storm finally replied, giving up. It’s acceptable if you are the one in control of everything. She assured the crowd that she would continue singing in a low voice for them as soon as the flight attendant left. The gospel singer said on social media that Delta contacted her to apologize a few days after the incident.
“It was just me sharing my happiness with others after they gave me permission to do so,” she stated in a video posted to Instagram.
The Christian group Maverick City Music’s album The Maverick Way has earned Bobbi Storm, a Grammy Award nomination.
