Tyrese is optimistic that his interview with Shannon Sharpe will become as popular as that of Katt Williams which has had over 73.5 million views so far.

The Californian musician and actor shot his Sharpe’s podcast on Tuesday, August 27.

An official Instagram post from Club Shay Shay about the performance gave fans a preview of what to expect.

Tyrese added to the hype in an IG Live video with a PSA to all his followers and the rest of the online community.

He detailed that if his whole interview is released, his episode will reach “Katt Williams numbers.”

However, he reassured his fans that he didn’t go on the show trying to replicate Williams’ energy or “Katt Williams topics” but respects “his truth.”

The most recent interview was on “The Breakfast Club,” where the singer went viral after he chaotically opened up about his life.

He talked to Charlamagne Tha God and DJ Envy about not being able to process the death of any of his loved ones as he’s suffered a series of losses.

Tyrese then broke down and explained how he had been suffering and, with tears, declared that “Black men cry” too.

“I’m doing the best I can with every 24 hours I get. Black men cry. When divorce happens, women aren’t the only ones that are devastated.”

Tyrese described how the death of his mother left him with a void. He stated that:

“It was a Beautiful Pain, 1992; there is no square footage I could ever live in that could never be replaced.”

The California native added that “when a miscarriage happens, women are not the only ones that you should be checking on. When you can’t put food on the table because your career goes up and it goes down, stop calling and skipping over the man and just checking on the woman.”
