Rihanna and A$AP Rocky are expecting their third child together.
The announcement came during the 2024 Met Gala held on May 5 in New York City, where the singer arrived late but made headlines as she revealed her baby bump on the blue carpet.
The 37-year-old singer wore a Marc Jacobs outfit that highlighted her growing belly. She cradled her bump in front of photographers, confirming recent speculation about a possible pregnancy.
Her appearance followed A$AP Rocky’s earlier arrival. The rapper was one of this year’s co-chairs for the event, which had the theme ‘Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.’
While Rihanna did not speak to reporters on the carpet, she later told Entertainment Tonight that she was feeling okay and not overwhelmed.

She said the pregnancy caught her off guard at first, but she is excited about it. She also confirmed that she plans to continue working on new music, although she prefers not to film videos while pregnant.
A$AP Rocky also spoke briefly at the event. He said the couple was happy to share their news and appreciated the support from fans. He added that the moment felt right to reveal what they had been keeping private.

The couple already has two sons together — RZA, who is 2 years old, and Riot, who is 21 months old.
Their growing family has been a topic of interest, especially after the couple previously joked about naming their next child after Rocky’s lawyer, Joe Tacopina, following Rocky’s shooting trial.
Tacopina once said the couple told him their next baby would be named A$AP Joe. While it is unclear if they were serious. “They grabbed me and they said, ‘Listen, our next baby is A$AP Joe.’” The lawyer said at the time.
In past interviews, Rihanna has spoken about how watching Rocky parents their children made her admire them even more.
She said their kids are obsessed with their father, and she often feels like a background figure. Rocky has also praised Rihanna for being supportive, especially with their busy work schedules.
