Grammy Award Winner, Victoria Monét, has released a captivating video for her single titled Alright, a record off her Jaguar 2 album.
The trendy video, directed by Dave Meyers, has generated 1.8 million views on YouTube in three days with some positive reviews.
The choreography which has some Michael Jackson moves was supervised by Sean Bankhead. In a statement following the release, Monet described Alright as “liberation and freedom at its core.”
She indicated that the video was “a visual presentation of that sentiment through freedom of movement and fluidity between masculine and feminine energy,” and praised the partnership with Dave Meyers and Sean Bankhead.
“Every single person who had their hands on this visual was extremely passionate from inception, and we all worked really hard to bring it to life! They showed up with their A-game surpassing what we all imagined. Serious teamwork!
“We all patiently and meticulously crafted it and are extremely excited to release it into the world! There’s no better month to release this visual than Pride Month, Black Music Month, and the beginning of summer ’24! I can’t wait to see where dance artists and the ballroom culture take it,” the 35-year-old performer stated.
The Alright visual is the first new music video from Victoria Monét since she won the 2024 Grammy Awards for Best New Artist, Best R&B Album, and Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical.
