Usher Raymond: Las Vegas Honours US Singer, See What They Did For Him

Renowned singer and performer Usher Raymond has been honored by the city of Las Vegas.

He was recently presented to him with the prestigious “Key to the City” while October 17 was proclaimed as “Usher Raymond Day.”

The Grammy Award-winning artiste, known for his chart-topping hits and mesmerizing dance moves, graciously accepted this esteemed recognition. He expressed his gratitude to the city that never sleeps.

Councilman Cedric Crear and Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn Goodman presented Usher with the key to the city during a special event. The event was attended by a diverse crowd of fans, city officials, and fellow artists.

Thanking his fans and Las Vegas, Usher, in an Instagram post, wrote:

“Honored to be given the 🗝️ to a city that has been my second home for almost 2 years now. You’ve shown me so much love, and I’m forever grateful. Thank U @cityoflasvegas for proclaiming October 17 as Usher Raymond Day!”

Usher and Las Vega connection

Usher has been an absolutely incredible brand ambassador for Las Vegas with his extremely popular residency as you know called, My Way, making a great impact on the city of sin.

Usher, born Usher Raymond IV, has been a mainstay in the entertainment industry for over two decades.

His impressive career includes numerous chart-topping songs, such as “Yeah!,” “DJ Got Us Fallin’ in Love,” and “OMG.”

Beyond his musical accomplishments, Usher has used his fame to support various charitable causes, particularly those focused on youth development and education.

Michael Jackson’s jacket goes up for sale

Meanwhile, Michael Jackson’s estate is set to benefit as one of his most famous memorabilia goes up for sale. The Thriller hitmaker’s jacket he wore for Pepsi’s iconic 1984 commercial is being auctioned.

Fans of the late megastar will have the privilege of bidding for the jacket he wore in the commercial to reimagine his hit song, Billie Jean.

The jacket is reported to form part of items being auctioned by Propstore from November 10. Apart from the jacket itself, a photo of Jackson wearing the clothing will also be auctioned.
