Usher Raymond IV, married Jennifer Goicoechea in a Las Vegas drive-thru wedding ceremony nearly six years after sparking romance rumors.

The pair have been romantically linked since 2019 and tied the knot days before the singer’s Super Bowl performance last year.

On Tuesday, they celebrated their first wedding anniversary, with Usher posting a video of him playing a piano serenade dedicated to Jennifer, whom he called his “angel.”

He also gushed about his wife, Jennifer Raymond, née Goicoechea, when he made his first appearance on Keke Palmer’s podcast “Baby, This Is Keke Palmer.”

Usher sat down with Keke to discuss his music, family, and more, where he opened up about his wife.

The R&B icon stated that he and his wife are a perfect match for each other and also admitted that if they were to be professional partners, it “wouldn’t have worked.”

Usher was once married to his former branding and marketing associate, Foster, from 2007 to 2009, and Grace Miguel, from 2015 to 2018.

He further explained: “I would never do that. If this is a business that you’re in, I’m going to help establish and work on it. But it’s your business, you know, and then we have the things that we do together, but it’s not a mandate. It’s a choice in [a] relationship. Your things are your things; my things are. I have something I’m passionate about. I need your support, I need your help, I want to get counsel,” the Coming Home singer continued.

Usher concluded that the marriage is his “third one” and that he’s “trying to make certain” that he doesn’t take his ring off.

The couple shares a daughter, Sovereign Bo, 4, and a son, Sire, 3, while Usher has two sons, Usher “Cinco” Raymond V, 17, and Naviyd, 16, from his first marriage to Tameka Foster.

Jennifer is a Senior Vice President of A&R at Epic Records, overseeing talent including Mariah the Scientist, 21 Savage, and DDG.
