Ty Dolla $ign has given fans an exciting update on the much-anticipated album Vultures 2 and hinted at more collaborations with Kanye West.
The update came during a Kick stream with Russian YouTuber Vitaly Zdorovetskiy, where Ty assured fans that the album is on its way and could drop any day now.
Ty Dolla $ign and Kanye West’s Vultures won’t be on streaming paltforms
Interestingly, the California singer confirmed that the album, initially set to release on May 3, would not be available on popular streaming platforms like Spotify and Apple Music. Instead, it will be exclusively available on Kanye’s YZY app.
During the stream, Ty Dolla also previewed an unreleased song from Vultures 2, featuring a verse from Playboi Carti. He confirmed that all three planned Vultures albums are definitely being released and even hinted at a possible fourth album.
Kanye West wants to sell album directly to fans
Kanye West had previously suggested selling Vultures 2 directly to fans via Yeezy.com. He argued that with his 20 million Instagram followers, even if only 5% of them bought the album, it would result in 1 million sold, surpassing the biggest album sales last year.
Ty Dolla $ign supported this initiative, responding to a fan who expressed concern about the unconventional release method. He argued that streaming services exploit artists by renting out their music while giving them a fraction of a penny. He believes it’s time for artists to bring their music directly to the audience and cut out the middleman.
This news comes after Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign recently released a new music video, further fueling the anticipation for Vultures 2.
