Travis Scott is kicking off 2025 with a jaw-dropping purchase and a mounting legal challenge. The rapper reportedly spent six figures on a limited edition Apocalypse Omega-Rex pickup truck, billed as ‘the most impressive pickup truck on the market.

According to TMZ, the custom $160,000 Hemi Hellcat V8 Horsepower truck was purchased from SoFlo Customs, with Scott snagging the last unit available.

A short video of the powerhouse vehicle shows off its rugged features, fitting for an artist known for pushing boundaries.

Beyond his automotive splurge, Travis faces legal troubles tied to his song Telekinesis, featuring Future and SZA. Roc Nation artist Victory Boyd sued last week, claiming the song unlawfully uses elements of her 2019 track, Like The Way It Sounds. Boyd alleges she shared her song with Kanye West, who played it for Scott. She accuses Scott of sharing it with Future and SZA, resulting in the creation of Telekinesis.

Boyd’s lawsuit, filed in federal court in New York, also names luxury watchmaker Audemars Piguet. The brand allegedly used Telekinesis in an advertisement despite Boyd denying them permission. She further asserts that Spotify currently lists her as one of the song’s composers, proving her involvement. Boyd also revealed that she was recently offered an eight percent stake in the song but rejected it.

While legal complications loom, Travis is set on making history at Coachella 2025. The festival’s chief organizer, Paul Tollett, praised Scott’s ambitious vision for his headlining set, describing it as Coachella’s ‘most significant experience ever.’

Scheduled for April 12 and 19, the Utopia rapper will headline the Saturday night slots of the two-weekend festival. Tollett hinted at an innovative, immersive experience near the Sonora Tent, promising a performance unlike any other.
