Travis Scott has officially made history, with his Circus Maximus tour surpassing Drake’s previous record for the most ticket sales on a rap tour, as earlier predicted.

As of Tuesday, October 22, reports from Complex indicated that Scott’s tour had sold an impressive 1.5 million tickets, eclipsing the record set by Drake’s It’s All A Blur Tour, which garnered 1.3 million tickets from 2023 to early 2024.

Travis Scott can’t still touch Drake’s revenue record

While Travis Scott’s ticket sales are remarkable, there is still a gap in revenue between the two artists. Drake’s tour grossed a staggering $320.5 million, a feat that may remain untouched for now. Earlier this month, Circus Maximus grossed $154.6 million from 1.2 million tickets sold, leaving it unlikely to match Drake’s financial success.

In addition to his record-breaking ticket sales, Travis Scott has been making headlines for his live performances, including handing a janitor $5,000 at one of his concerts.

Last week, he welcomed The Weeknd as a special guest during a show in Australia. The Houston rapper thanked The Weeknd and reminisced about their shared history.

The BET 2024 honoree recalled that Abel gave him opportunities early in his career, including a spot as an opener for The Weeknd’s ‘Madness Fall Tour’ in 2015. This tour marked a significant milestone for Scott, as it was his first chance to perform in an arena setting.

During the Sydney show on October 18, Scott highlighted the impact The Weeknd had on his career, emphasizing that he may not have reached this level of success without him.
