Todd Dulaney and Bishop Walker’s “It’s Working” is making waves and has started topping Gospel Charts. The new wave anthem is shattering the Billboard Gospel Chart and is now second to none.
The song which saw a 5% increase in plays during the tracking week of October 20–26, is somehow, at number one on the Billboard Airplay Charts for the week of November 4th, according to the most recent Billboard Gospel Airplay chart.
The 39-year-old former professional baseball player for the New York Mets recorded “It’s Working” live on September 17, 2022, at Calvary Baptist Church in Chicago.
It’s an empowering and energizing declaration that God is in control and everything will work out. Todd Dulaney and Hezekiah Walker’s combined musical talents inspire and motivate listeners to overcome all obstacles.
In his signature modern style, Dulaney introduces the theme and lyrics to start the celebration. This portion is modeled after a live praise and worship session. The powerful choir sound that has propelled Hezekiah Walker to the top of the gospel music scene for decades is seamlessly transitioned. The much-anticipated multiple modulations that make up Hezekiah Walker’s signature sound are included in “It’s Working.”
This song has everything you’d need for a serious praise party. “It will always work out for me” are the lyrics that the choir and band use to drive the song.
“To be at the top of the chart once again is an absolute honor,” Dulaney told Billboard. “I never would have thought to have such a strong streak. God keeps blessing me with inspirational music that I hope inspires listeners’ hearts and lives.”
“It’s Working” marks Bishop Hezekiah Walker’s fourth consecutive Gospel Airplay No. 1 and his first since June 2016, when Better held the top spot for eighteen weeks.
In the past, he had the top two hits on the chart with Every Praise (27 weeks, starting in August 2013) and Souled Out (14 weeks, starting in March 2009), featuring LFC. In 2008, the Brooklyn native, 60, was elevated to the position of bishop in the Church of the Apostolic Faith.
