English singer Jade Thirlwall has shared some profound memories of Liam Payne, a former member of One Direction who passed on last year.
She made the remarks during an appearance on an episode of The Assembly on ITV. The show gives audiences, mainly people with some form of disability, the opportunity to interact with personalities from diverse backgrounds.

Jade was asked to share a positive memory of Payne, as they were close friends. In her response, she noted that Payne was “the first friend” she made in the industry. Reports indicate they both met at the audition for a music reality show, The X Factor, in 2010.
“He was just so lovely. He was very talented, he really wanted to make his family proud, which he did. I remember everyone who was on the show at the time saying, ‘This person’s a star’. You could tell, he literally had the X factor. He was destined to be a musician and a singer,” she stated.

Liam Payne died in October after falling from a third-floor balcony at a hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Last month, his sister, Ruth Gibbins, wrote an emotional tribute marking the six-month anniversary of his death.
“Six months, half a year without you?! My head is still screaming for you. Each morning on waking, I feel like I am plunged underwater, gasping for air that never comes to relieve me,” she wrote.

“Living without you is impossible, so for now, I exist. I’m learning to laugh or smile in the right places, but mate, it’s exhausting when all I want to do is speak to you…I can sometimes hear you laughing at me walking around like Whoopi Goldberg in ‘Ghost’, looking for you everywhere I go,” she added.
Jade Amelia Thirlwall, born December 26, began her music career at the age of 15, when she auditioned for The X Factor UK on three occasions.
