Last week, Megan Thee Stallion encouraged voters to turn up in the upcoming Presidential elections in the United States. This week she has been reflecting on her first major concert, “The Hot Girl Summer Tour.”

She described the feeling of putting up a show each night and expressed appreciation to the bevy of supporters who turned up at every event.

“I know people support me, but to go see it every night was a different feeling. [And to see] how packed those arenas were, to see that a lot of my shows were 100% sold out, I’m like, ‘Wow…

“Everybody was in there dancing, twerking, and singing all the songs, word for word. Everybody had a really good time, including me. My fans, we’re like a bunch of cousins getting together at an outing,” the award-winning performer stated.

She added that she was resting for a while but would go on tour again in the future. In the meantime, she will prepare to host the MTV VMAs on Wednesday, September 11.

The Hot Girl Summer Tour began on May 14 in Minneapolis and concluded in August in Chicago with the Girls in the Hood performer trekking 31 cities. American rapper and Grammy-nominated artiste, GloRilla, was announced as a special guest on the tour.

Megan made stops in New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, and many other locations in the United States before moving to Glasgow, Scotland, England, France, Germany, and Ireland, per her schedule.

The trip followed the single HISS which reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in February.  Before this, she released Cobra which came with a fascinating video, reaching over a million views in less than 24 hours after its premiere.

As of November 6, 2023, the visuals for Cobra had reached 4.3 million views on YouTube. It was her first single after parting ways with record label 1501 Certified Entertainment.

The lyrics of the track touched on the singer’s past and her challenge with depression, as she opened the first verse saying: “Just as a snake sheds its skin, we must shed our past over and over again.”
