Actress Garcelle Beauvais has opened up about spending a significant amount of money on a dating app that did produce results.
In an interview on Good Morning America, the former Ford model said she spent $6,000 on a “disastrous” dating app, which allegedly charged her fees weekly.
“I signed up for this app and you had to pay for it, and it was a lot of money per week.
“I was like, ‘I don’t feel right having to pay to meet a man.’ So I get off the app. And months later, I’m on my phone, and I hadn’t deleted it.
“…And I didn’t meet a soul, by the way…It was awful. I mean, it was just disastrous, ” she stated.
The fees, however, accumulated over a period, she noted.
The story by the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star generated mixed reactions from fans online, with some expressing surprise at her decision to share the story publicly.
“I love her, but I would’ve kept that story to myself,” an observer wrote. “Couldn’t be me…“My card would’ve got declined on the second month,” another added.
A follower said her “skinny girlfriend would have had to pay her back the money.”
Beauvais has had a history of high-profile relationships, including rumored romances with Will Smith, Michael Jordan, and others.
This is why some observers thought she should not have a problem finding or dating a man. She had previously spoken about her struggles with dating and her experiences as a single mother.
The Haitian beauty, rated as one of the most stunning women in Hollywood, has been divorced twice and remains hopeful of finding love.
