The Weeknd Begins ‘After Hours Til Dawn’ Tour in Phoenix

Singer songwriter, The Weeknd, has opened his After Hours Til Dawn 2025 Tour in Phoenix, Azirona in the United States.

He treated fans to a catalogue of selections on his new Hurry Up Tomorrow album when he mounted the stage at the State Farm Stadium over the weekend.

Interacting with his fans, he played songs like Wake Me Up, Opening Night, Given Up On Me, and others and was joined by a some guest artistes including Playboi Carti.

The show, the first on his North American tour, is expected to continue at Detroit Ford Field on May 24. Venues in Inglewood, Toronto, Philadelphia, Denver, Vancouver, Nashville, and other locations have been booked. The concerts would end in San Antonio, Texas, on September 3.

In February last year, two top songs by the Canadian singer and record producer broke a new record on Spotify. The songs Blinding Lights and Starboy both exceeded three billion streams on the platform.

The achievement made the singer the first artiste to have two songs exceed the three billion mark on the streaming platform.

Official video for Blinding Lights reached nearly 800 million YouTube views at the time, while that of Starboy, also reached 39 million views as of February 1, 2023.

The I Can’t Feel My Face hitmaker has four Grammy Awards, a Latin Grammy Award, twenty Billboard Music Awards, six American Music Awards, two MTV Video Music Awards, and twenty-two Juno Awards.

Blinding Lights topped the Billboard Hot 100 for four non-consecutive weeks and went on to set new records as the song with the most weeks spent in the top five and top ten.

It eventually became the record for the longest-charting song on the Hot 100 of all time, spending 90 weeks on the chart. It was named the number-one song of all time in Billboard Hot 100 history in 2021.

Similarly, Starboy was one of the singles off the Weeknd’s third studio album, released on November 25, 2016, through XO and Republic Records.  The album and its singles received positive reviews and debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200.

The album was a commercial success and was certified four times platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) in 2022.
