Terence Howard has shared details of his claims of inadequate pay against the Creative Arts Agency (CAA) indicating that the agency sent him a check of $666.
In the course of his interactions with Daphne Phanee on Straight Talk, the 55-year-old screen icon, wearing a grey suit and orange, blown-out wig, shed light on his experience in the interview published in March 2024.
Howard explained that he had an issue at Fox and Disney because the image displayed on Empire’s profile came from a still shot from Hustle & Flow.
He added that they extensively edited the image, took out the trademark, and sold it worldwide without his permission.
He added that the image is worth $100 million at least for how much money they made from it. Howard went on to say that he got a forensic photographer to find the actual frame.
“CAA, they represented me. They also represented some of the people from Big Bang Theory. They also did the deal with Fox. My show was with Fox, the people from Big Bang with Fox. We had 28 million viewers. They had 11 million viewers. They were getting $2 million, damn near $3 million an episode.”
According to Howard, every year, he finds out from his agents what the new developments are, but it turns out they were motivated to keep him out.
He estimates that they owe him over $120 million, based on what was likely paid to his white counterparts, hence, he is in the process of suing them.
The lawsuit was first announced in December 2023, acknowledging that Howard’s pay started at $125,000 and peaked at $325,000 per episode.
