Rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine, popular for his controversial lifestyle, has again found himself in hot waters. His legal troubles have escalated as the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) seized several of his luxury cars from his Florida home.
The operation, conducted by the Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office with assistance from the IRS, took place on Wednesday, April 17, 2024.
According to TMZ, the rapper was not at home during the raid, which resulted in the seizure of multiple items of property, including a custom Bentley riddled with bullet holes.
The IRS has yet to confirm the reason for the seizure or whether an investigation is underway, but it is speculated to be tax-related.
Tekashi 6ix9ine’s other legal troubles
Currently residing in the Dominican Republic, 6ix9ine, a Brooklyn native, has also faced legal issues. He was recently released on bond following an arrest for domestic assault against his girlfriend, Yailin la Más Viral.
The allegations were brought forward by her mother, Wanda Diaz, but Yailín has denied any violence took place.
The relationship between 6ix9ine and Viral has been tumultuous, with Viral previously being arrested for felony assault after footage of her hitting the rapper surfaced.
A video from 6ix9ine’s Instagram captured an argument between the pair. During the altercation, Yailín used a 2 x 6 to knock 6ix9ine’s phone out of his hand. Yailín was taken to jail.
The rapper has faced numerous legal challenges. In November 2018, 6ix9ine was arrested on a federal indictment for his role in the New York gang, Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods. He was issued a two-year prison sentence on racketeering charges related to several violent crimes.
Federal agents raid Diddy’s homes
Similarly, federal agents recently raided the properties of music mogul Diddy.
Reports indicated that the raids targeted Diddy’s homes in Miami and Los Angeles, with helicopters patrolling the airspace above the latter location.
