The era of Hollywood personalities signing with agencies is at its highest peak as the versatile, talented Taraji P. Henson signed with Independent Artist Group (IAG) for representation.
Taraji is an Academy Award-nominated actor, producer, New York Times best-selling author, mental health advocate, and businesswoman.
Henson has also won numerous Emmy, SAG, Critics’ Choice, and NAACP Image Award nominations throughout the course of her decades-long career, in addition to an Oscar nomination, a Golden Globe, and six BET Awards.
Taraji P. Henson rose to fame with her breakout role in 2005’s “Hustle & Flow,” which earned her a Screen Actors Guild nomination and a BET Award for Best Actress.
She is known for many roles and film credits, including;
“Hidden Figures,” “Acrimony,” “Proud Mary,” “Think Like a Man,” and its sequel, “Smokin’ Aces,” “No Good Deed,” and “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button,” which earned her an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actress.
When it comes to television, she has garnered multiple award nominations and even became the first Black woman to win a Critics Choice Television Award in the Best Actress in a Drama Series category for her portrayal of “Cookie Lyon” on the hit series “Empire.”
Taraji P. Henson’s debut as a producer on the play “Jaja’s African Hair Braiding” earned her a Tony nomination for Best Play in 2024.
Under this representation deal, Henson’s production house, TPH Entertainment, which has a first-look agreement with BET, will also be represented by IAG.
This representation deal with IAG will see the agency working closely with Henson and her Emmy-winning Head of Development and Production, Jamila Jordan-Theus, in helping to build out TPH Entertainment.
