Dave Chappelle and Killer Mike have teamed up and are on a joint tour for the Still Talkin That Sh*t Tour.
The joint tour, which both acts will co-headline, was announced on Wednesday (October 23).
The announcement comes shortly after Chappelle inducted A Tribe Called Quest into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Killer Mike took to social media shortly after news of the tour was officially announced, revealing that he and Dave had previously spoken about teaming up for a collection of shows while hanging out together at a gentleman’s club in his hometown of Atlanta.
This is therefore the outcome of that talk, and it’s going to be a mash-up of comedy and hip-hop, which will be hitting several cities.
This isn’t the first time Killer Mike and Dave Chappelle have collaborated.
Dave Chappelle was featured on Killer Mike’s track Run alongside Young Thug. Killer Mike also appeared on Chappelle’s Show back in 2008.
The upcoming tour is billed as a “fusion of music and comedy across a joint set” and will also feature Killer Mike’s Mighty Midnight Revival gospel group.
According to Brooklyn Vegan, all shows will be phone-free and will require attendees to store their electronic devices in Yondr pouches.
The Still Talkin That Sh*t Tour, is presented by Live Nation and it will kick off on November 15 at the Fox Theatre in Detroit.
Dates in Atlanta, Illinois, Boston, New York City, and Oakland, before wrapping up on November 24 at the Long Beach Terrace Theater in California.
