Snoop Dogg has released his own jewelry line dubbed “Lovechild”. The collection is in collaboration with jewelry brands Metal Alchemist and Gamma.
The rapper’s Lovechild jewelry line launched on Wednesday via pre-sale at Snoop.love. The collection will be available on December 6 in retail exclusively at Reeds 57 locations and online at reeds.com.
Snoop Dogg told The Hollywood Reporter during the launch; “I chose to name the collection Lovechild because I felt like the world is so full of anger and negativity and division, and I know that I lead with love. The news is quick to bring you bad news, so we are stepping in with a whole new force of love.”
He added: “For the child that still lives within me, for the child that lives within everyone. I wanted to have a product I could share with the world that speaks to every element of who I am at this point in my life.”
Metal Alchemist also added that Lovechild is “Snoop’s unique take on jewelry designed for personal empowerment, well-being, and iconic style that’s rooted in American craftsmanship.”
Metal Alchemist founder Carolyn Rafaelian went on to say: “Snoop, Larry, and I built our careers from a shared foundational belief: empower others and change the way things are done.
With Snoop’s deep-rooted belief in love as an energy that transforms and Metal Alchemist’s dedication to crafting clean, powerful precious metal innovation, Lovechild was born.
Larry knew bringing us together would spark something extraordinary.”
However, Snoops has a bigger aim for his newly launched jewelry line.
According to HipHopDX, Snoop has over-the-top ambitions for the budding brand.
During his interview with the outlet during the launch stating; “Let me put our bid in right now. The Olympics, IOC [International Olympic Committee], we want to do the medals for the Olympics in 2028.”
“Cut the shit — we are asking y’all right now, early in the game. Y’all would want to do that because y’all are going to be in L.A. I’m just going to say it like that.”
While it remains unclear whether Lovechild will secure the coveted bid, Snoop Dogg made his mark at this year’s Summer Olympics in Paris as a special correspondent for NBC and unofficial cheerleader for Team USA.
Metal Alchemist also made their mark at the Olympics thanks to that chain Snoop wore at the pre-Olympics event in Paris.
The rap legend holds the jewelry collection near and dear to his heart and says it’s all designed around love—love for his wife, his children, his grandchildren, and people across the world who’d like to feel connected to him, no matter their race.
