Television personality Skai Jackson made her first public appearance since she became a mother when she turned up in style at the 56th NAACP Image Awards.
The former Disney Star welcomed her child last month, receiving congratulatory messages from all circles. She was captured in a black dress on the red carpet at the NAACP event on Friday, February 21, as she interacted with some guests.

Speaking to some outlets, she touched on the experience of motherhood which she considers “positive.”
“I love being a new mom. It’s just so exciting…I’m here tonight, I’m already missing my baby. But it’s been a great month with my new little one,” she stated.

The 22-year-old was happy with the support she has received from relatives as she embarked on the journey of first-time motherhood.
Joking about his son, she said: “So it’s not too bad. But he’s giving me a run for my money. “He’s such a big baby, eats so much… but it’s something that I love. I love seeing my baby every day.” Skai Jackson also shared how motherhood has made her stronger.

“I feel like being a mom and juggling everything probably has to be one of the hardest jobs, but it’s such a rewarding job because I’m doing it for him at the end of the day,” she explains. “So I definitely learned that about myself. I can just handle whatever at this point,” she added.
The actress announced the arrival of the newborn, Kasia, on Sunday, January 26, 2025, posting a social media photo of herself cradling the baby, and expressing excitement of being a first-time mother.

In November last year, Jackson confirmed she was expecting her first child, after months of speculation about her pregnancy.
“I’m thrilled to begin this new chapter in my life…embracing motherhood and diving into new acting projects. My heart is so full!” she stated in an interview.

In October last, she was spotted in Los Angeles, wearing shorts, a white top, and other accompaniments, and appeared to be holding her belly while on the phone. Followers, at the time, reacted to the post, saying she was pregnant.
After the confirmation, she reportedly went to spend time with her mother, Kiya Cole, before the birth of the child.
