Beyoncé has explained why she cannot do without music and would continue to produce hits after hits for millions of followers worldwide.

In a recent interview with ‘GQ’ Magazine, the Irreplaceable singer said she “would be walking dead” if she could not sing.

“My voice has always been my companion…It’s why I have always been able to be happy alone. Music understands my heart even when I can’t find words,” she stated, adding that she always found “peace” in “private sanctuaries” like the studio and the car.

“Singing soothes me…It steadies my heartbeat; it’s my best hit of dopamine. There’s a certain magic in sitting at the piano, and letting my fingers play random chords as I just let any and everything come out.

“Without singing, without music, without creating, I would be a walking dead…Creating music isn’t work for me; it’s what I was born to do,” the Texas Hold ‘Em performer added.

Apart from singing, which has “healed” her many times, her other interests include taking baths with essential oils, acupuncture, and reflexology.

“I make honey, paint, decorate, swim, and design clothes and stages. I have written children’s books for my children and designed animation. Anything creative makes me happy,” she explained.

The interview comes weeks after the businesswoman announced the launch of a new American whisky brand called SirDavis. Her new business venture is a collaboration with liquor producer Moët Hennessy.

A picture of the 16 Carriages singer, wearing an all-white outfit with a glass of whisky in hand, ostensibly to promote the new business, appeared online on Tuesday.

SirDavis is described as a brand that has been “years in the making, offering an unexpected take on American whisky with a bespoke recipe, unusual maturation process, and one-of-a-kind taste profile with inspiration from Japanese and Scottish styles — perfectly suited to Knowles-Carter’s (Beyoncé’s) whisky ideal.”
