Tennis champion Serena Williams has thrown a subtle jab at critics who suggest she has been having cosmetic surgery over the years to enhance her physical appearance.
The mother of two took to Instagram, early this week, posting a new picture of herself, which seemingly was intended to put her beauty “accusations” to rest.
She had previously been tagged as undergoing cosmetic enhancements, including a nose job, cheekbone implants, and skin lightening. She had also been unjustifiably criticized for using drugs or surgery to lose weight after the birth of her daughter last year.
On Instagram, she posted eight photos showcasing her slim figure and flawless face with the caption: straightforward: “100% real … forehead to toe … lol.”
Serana’s radiant outlook in the post attracted mixed reactions from her followers; some agreed with her truth and others remained skeptical.
“…Dissolve the filler please,” a writer said, suggesting she had used filler in her nose and cheeks.
Early this month, Serena caused a stir online with her golden hairstyle, which some people thought “was over the top.”
She posted the hairdo supporting Olympic gold for the U.S. women’s gymnastics team, wearing a little black dress against a backdrop that matched her new look.
“Trying to look golden for my ladies in gymnastics… I am loving every minute of watching you be great,” she captioned the photo tagging members of the women’s gymnastics team.
The post was to urge the team to secure more medals, but it brought a few trolls, as some fans attempted to denigrate the new outlook.
Those who supported the style also turned out in droves on Instagram to express their admiration, churning out hundreds of heart and fire emojis.
