Black Panther 3 has been rumoured for a long time, but the film popped up on the news cycle last November when Denzel Washington leaked that he had a role in the movie during the press tour for Gladiator II.

Since the legendary actor revealed that Ryan Coogler is writing a role for him in the third instalment of Black Panther 3, the expectations of fans have skyrocketed.

Denzel, however, apologized to The Sinners’ director for leaking the news.

The 70-year-old actor revealed this during a chat with Variety at the time, stating that,

“I called him and apologized for talking about the movie, and right there sitting with him was his beautiful wife. He’s still Ryan, humble and full of ideas. Whatever he writes, I’ll read.”

Marvel, however, has not yet officially announced the release of the highly anticipated film.

Coogler teased fans when he replied, “Not long,” when asked by Shannon Sharpe and Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson on the Nightcap podcast how long we would have to wait to see Black Panther 3.

He went on to say: “So maybe sometime before Doomsday and Secret Wars? He was also asked about Washington’s comments and artfully dodged the question.

For the unversed, the first Black Panther hit the big screens in 2018, while the sequel, Wakanda Forever, was released in 2022.

The end of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever clearly set up more stories to come; it’s just a matter of when those stories will make it to the big screen.

For a studio that hides its secrets, they have not been shy about wanting to continue exploring Wakanda.
