Rihanna made a gorgeous appearance with her partner, A$AP Rocky, who was honored Wednesday, December 4, at the 38th Annual Footwear News Achievement Awards.
Images from the ceremony show the Diamonds singer in a knee-high slit and other accessories while A$AP came in a black leather jacket with other supporting elements.
Rihanna, who shares two children with A$AP, praised her partner and highlighted her baby daddy’s influence on the fashion industry.
“I’m super proud. This is why I’m here. I left my kids to be here. I’m super proud of their dad—that’s my baby daddy!”
“I think he’s always influenced the fashion game. He’s always had a unique sense of style that I think designers have honed in on and used as inspiration for collections, and he’s never gotten the amount of credit that he deserves.

“And being here tonight, it just feels great to see him, like, achieve something that we always knew that he was a part of and influenced, and I’m proud to be here by his side. It is a big deal,” she stated.
A$AP Rocky also expressed excitement at seeing his partner at such a grand celebration and also hinted at a possible music collaboration with Rihanna.
“A woman in a companion support [role] is everything, right? Especially when somebody’s a pair. I think that’s very important: to be united and to have that mutual respect and support.
“It’s lovely; that’s what I can say mostly about it. This moment, it’s beautiful, and I’m honored and blessed to be here right now, very grateful,” he noted.
About a possible collaboration, he stated, “You know, we’ve got something in the works. […] I think [we love working together so much as friends first and then partners] just because it’s easy, especially with somebody you share a kindred spirit with or you share the same interests with. It’s pretty easy. It feels more organic or natural.”
A$AP Rocky was recognized in the Collaboration of the Year category for his work on the “A$AP Rocky x Puma” collection at Cipriani South Street in New York.
Last month, Rihanna visited her hometown, Barbados, to launch her new collection of products under the Fenty Beauty brand, but her comments at the event sparked rumors about her possible retirement from music.
At the event, she recalled how her music journey had paved the way for other opportunities, indicating, among other things, that “music was the thing that got the attention, but God had other plans for me…”
This remark caught the attention of some fans who believe she pulled the brakes on her music career.
