Barbadian singer and businesswoman, Rihanna has opened up on tactics she adopts when dressing up her sons, RZA, 23 months, and Riot, 8.

The international songstress revealed that she usually turns to her boyfriend, A$AP Rocky, for inspiration when it comes to their children’s fashion-forward looks.

“When I dress them, I always try to dress them like Rocky,” the Work singer, 36, revealed at a Fenty x Puma event in London on Wednesday, April 17, 2024.

Rihanna explained that while she’s “always” imagined “dressing a girl,” she didn’t quite know what to do with boys.

She opened up by saying that even though she has enough ideas to dress female children, it becomes a challenge when deciding on what to do when dressing up sons

It turns out her solution was right in front of her, however, with the Fenty Beauty founder saying, “I was like, ‘You know what, I have the biggest hack — their dad.’”

It comes as no surprise that Rihanna takes inspiration from the Fashion Killa rapper; the Umbrella singer recently told Interview that A$AP’s designer ‘fits make her look like his assistant in comparison.

“I’m getting on a plane. We should be in sweats. He wants to be in a full Bottega suit. I’m like, ‘Why you got to do that to me?’” she told the mag.

And, she even said in the same interview that “everybody thinks Rocky dresses them because I dress them in Rocky outfits.” The looks in question include head-to-toe pricey Gucci duds and more adorable fits.

As for her newest Fenty launch, Rihanna, who certainly didn’t look like anyone’s assistant in a bold Dolce & Gabbana leopard print a week ago,  told ET that seeing her sons wear her designs is “incredible.”

“I’ve gotten the opportunity to start that with Puma, designing kids’ shoes through the Avantis and now we’re doing the Creepers,” she said, adding it was “really fun” and “cute” to see RZA and Riot “wear stuff like that.”

In other news, Rihanna has confirmed in an interview that she is open to having more children as she is hopeful of having a daughter someday.

The Anti creator indicated that she and her partner, A$AP Rocky hope to have a daughter in the future.

According to her, the outbreak of COVID-19 sped up their relationship, and this made her feel like God wanted them to start a family. She explained that but for the epidemic, they may not have spent ample time together.

The Diamonds singer and the rapper from Harlem welcomed their first baby boy, RZA, in May 2022. A year later, they had another son, Riot, in August. The talented singer went ahead to indicate that she has always believed she was a girl mom, but she is convinced she is a boy mum as well.

Rihanna is optimistic about having a girl child and admits that she doesn’t know what God wants, but she feels ready to get pregnant again.
