Rick Ross has set the record straight about Drake’s recent feud, which stirred up significant buzz in the music industry.

Speaking at the Nightcap Summer Sessions: LIVE from Houston hosted by Shannon Sharpe and Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson, Ross clarified his stance on the ongoing conflict, which has involved notable names like Kendrick Lamar, Future, Metro Boomin, A$AP Rocky, and The Weeknd.

Ross refuted any claims of a deeper conspiracy behind the feud, asserting that his participation was purely rooted in the competitive spirit of rap.

According to Ross, his involvement was a natural response to being mentioned and was motivated by a desire to engage in the lyrical battle that has captivated fans and critics alike.

The feud intensified earlier this year when Kendrick Lamar and Future took aim at Drake with their tracks on We Don’t Trust You and its sequel, We Still Don’t Trust You. A$AP Rocky’s contribution on “Show of Hands” seemed to reference a past relationship with Drake’s former partner, Sophie Brussaux, while also targeting Drake’s album For All the Dogs.

Drake’s response included verses on Another Late Night that seemed to address Rocky’s earlier shots, further fueling the tension. The Weeknd also joined the fray with the track All to Myself, expressing frustration with Drake.

During this period, Ross had fun with the feud, even nicknaming Drake “BBL Drizzy” and engaging in online trolling. Despite facing a physical confrontation with Drake’s fans in Toronto, Ross remained undeterred and continued to relish the drama.
