REVEALED: The Cause Of Death For The Legendary Quincy Jones Discovered

Multi-talented music titan Quincy Jones passed away at the age of 91 on November 3 at his home in the Bel Air section of Los Angeles, while surrounded by his family.

He was laid to rest in a private memorial service held for Jones in Los Angeles last week, with his family planning to hold a public memorial at a later time, according to The Associated Press reports.

His burial site or where the ceremony took place has also not been revealed by his family. And in lieu of flowers, Jones’ family asks for donations to the Jazz Foundation of America.

Quincy Jones is survived by his seven children, including actress Rashida Jones of “Parks and Recreation” fame.

According to the death certificate, which was obtained by CNN and TMZ, Quincy Jones’ cause of death reveals that the iconic musician, composer, and producer died of pancreatic cancer. 

The obtained death certificate, there were no other contributing factors listed on the certificate from the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, but it did note that he had been living with cancer for several years.

The musician, who produced Jackson’s iconic album “Thriller” and the charity song “We Are the World,” took home 28 Grammys, received multiple Oscar nominations for his film music contributions, and was awarded a National Medal of Arts.

Quincy’s name appears as producer, composer, conductor, arranger, or performer on more than 400 albums. He composed roughly 35 film scores.
