Quavo is being sued by visual artist Daniel Arsham for allegedly using one of his artworks without permission in a music promotion video.

Arsham, a New York-based artist known for working with JAY-Z and Nas, filed the lawsuit after spotting his sculpture in a social media video promoting Quavo’s single Trappa Rappa in December 2024.

The video shows Quavo standing next to a full-size sculpture of a 1961 Ferrari GT, which Arsham says was used without a license. The sculpture does not appear in the official music video for the song.

The lawsuit names Quavo, his record label Quality Control Music, and its partner HYBE America, which is run by music executive Scooter Braun.

Arsham claims the label and its partners were aware of the infringement or should have been. He also believes they were involved in the promotional content and gained financially from it.

Arsham is suing for copyright infringement and wants a jury to decide the case. He has not revealed how much he is demanding in damages but noted that his works are often sold for hundreds of thousands of dollars.

As of now, Quavo and the companies involved have not responded publicly. It is also not clear how the sculpture ended up in the video or whether Quavo had access to it directly.
