Pusha T has resumed his verbal sparring with Drake, rekindling one of hip-hop’s most storied rivalries. The move comes after the Canadian superstar initiated legal action against Universal Music Group (UMG), alleging issues related to Kendrick Lamar’s diss track, Not Like Us.

During an interview with Ari Melber at Miami Art Week, Pusha addressed the ongoing feud, referencing his involvement in Kendrick Lamar’s earlier diss track, ‘Euphoria.’ The Clipse rapper interpreted Kendrick’s lyrics as challenging for Drake to confront unresolved issues with him before addressing Lamar.

Pusha took the opportunity to applaud Kendrick’s lyrical prowess, describing him as a master of wordplay capable of cutting deep with his pointed observations. He suggested that Kendrick’s incisive approach to lyricism may have triggered Drake’s legal filings, hinting that the rapper’s response to the diss track underscores its impact.

The feud traces back to Kendrick’s track ‘Euphoria,’ where he referenced the infamous conflict between Drake and Pusha T. On the song, Kendrick alluded to Pusha’s earlier victory in their beef, which reached its zenith with the release of ‘The Story of Adidon.’ That track exposed personal details about Drake’s life, earning Pusha critical acclaim and marking a pivotal moment in their rivalry.

Kendrick’s lyrics appeared to escalate the tension, drawing comparisons between Pusha T’s rap dominance and the unmatched skill of boxer Terence Crawford. The pointed bars reignited the longstanding animosity, with Kendrick seemingly siding with Pusha and suggesting that Drake had unfinished business with the Virginia rapper.

Drake’s decision to file legal claims against UMG has added a new layer to the drama, raising questions about his response to Kendrick’s diss and the broader implications for his image. Pusha T has not hesitated to capitalize on the situation, framing the legal actions as a reaction to the pressure created by Kendrick’s cutting remarks.
