Omari Hardwick and 50 Cent’s beef about how well-watched TV series, Power concluded is still very much alive.
In a recent panel discussion, Hardwick expressed his dissatisfaction with the way the show concluded.
Remember how “Power” concluded with Hardwick’s James St. Tariq, Patrick’s son, shooting and killing him?
“Power Book II: Ghost” is a spinoff that resulted from this ending. The fact that Hardwick’s own son killed Ghost upsets both him and many of his fans.
He remarked, “I have so much empathy for the fans, bro,” during the panel. The actor was alluding to his character’s attempt to leave the drug trade and conduct business legally.
On the other hand, spectators saw Ghost drawn farther into the drug trade.
“We frequently overlook the fact that we are selling and telling fans a narrative with a beginning and an end and that it must conclude as we intended,” he continued.
“We often forget that the fans are being sold and told a story that has a genesis and that it has to end the way that it was sold and told to end,” he added.
50 Cent responded to Hardwick’s remarks on social media, expressing his displeasure.
“This [ninja emoji] is a strange bird. What the f*** is he talking about? I never did anything but look out for him. If he needed something, I gave it to him. I understand now that s*** didn’t matter.”
However, Netizens are torn between who is right and who is wrong. Below are screenshots of the comments from fans of both Omari Hardwick and 50 Cent.
