The incident occurred during a Twitch stream hosted by TyTy James, during which Rainey Jr. was inappropriately grabbed by James’ sister. This unsettling moment was captured on camera and has since gone viral on X (formerly Twitter).

Michael Rainey Jr., 23, known for his role in the hit series, expressed his distress in a heartfelt statement. A representative for the actor shared that Rainey Jr. is “deeply saddened and shocked” by the incident. He is grappling with the emotional aftermath, unsure how to process what happened.

The video shows James’ sister’s hands partially obscured by nearby children. However, Rainey Jr.’s discomfort is evident as he attempts to block her contact and looks around for assistance. Shortly after the incident, the visibly shaken actor left the livestream.

In response to the growing backlash, TyTy James issued a public apology on his Instagram Stories. He deeply regretted his sister’s actions, acknowledging their inappropriateness and unacceptability. James conveyed his embarrassment and disgust, emphasizing his full support for any action Rainey Jr. decides to take.

To prevent future incidents, James has banned his sister from participating in his streams and promised stricter measures to ensure such behavior is never repeated.
