English singer, PinkPantheress, seems to love hearing herself stoke some controversy in the music business.
Months after she expressed her view on how long recorded music should be, she has returned another opinion on why she does not listen to albums.
In a recent interview, she believed people only have to “listen” to individual songs, without necessarily listening to a complete music album.
“I don’t listen to albums. I just listen to songs. That’s why when it came to my own album, I was like, do people care about tracklisting? When I saw people review my album, some people were like, ‘It’s a great album’, but the tracklisting doesn’t make sense.’ I’m like, just listen to the songs,” she noted.
She asserts, in a follow-up post, that “there is no right or wrong way to consume or make music,” adding that nobody cares if she listened to albums in full because “music is meant to be unique to everyone.”

“I think you would put my music in the grey color wheel if I had to give it a color. I feel like I want it to be more colorful,” she noted.
The rising, British performer had previously shared a contentious view on why songs should not be longer than 2 minutes, as she is noted for recording music that is relatively short in length.
Explaining why she maintains that style, she believed a two-minute to 30-second recording should be the standard.
“…A song doesn’t need to be longer than two minutes 30 seconds, in my opinion. We don’t need to repeat a verse, we don’t need to have a bridge, we don’t need it. We don’t need a long outro,” she stated.
The young performer released her last single Turn It Up and had been on some media rounds to promote the song.
The songwriter’s longest song is titled Capable of love, spanning three minutes and 43 seconds. Speaking with Zane Lowe on Apple Music, last year, she mentioned “desperation for success” as her motivation for starting music.
