Record producer Pheelz has updated his discography with a 2024 banger known as Go Low, which is already gathering some impressive streaming records.
The song went public on Friday and has reached over 15,000 streams on Audiomack (Africa) so far. The record is an upbeat Afrobeat jam targeted at partygoers and clubs.
The single comes with an energetic dance video and is likely to take over social media spaces in the years ahead. Pheelz is best known for his ‘Finesse’ hit, which propelled him to the limelight in 2022.
In December 2023, he treated his fans to another powerful Afrobeats rhythm known as Rhythm and Blues, which gathered over 480,000 streams.
His new 2024 project defines his exceptionality and why he remains one of the most celebrated performers in his home country and beyond.
It would be recalled that Pheelz was one of the guest artistes on Usher’s newly released 20-track Coming Home album. Both artistes collaborated on the song Ruin, and its accompanying video, which was released early in January.
As a teaser for the album, the song generated nearly 1 million views, barely 24 hours after its premiere. Apart from Pheelz, Usher’s album also featured Burna Boy and guests like H.E.R., 21 Savage,
In a follow-up interview, Pheelz gave a positive impression of his working relationship with Usher, which was more or less one of his memorable moments.
He described Usher as “a great student,” and explained that the collaboration was both a surprise and a great learning opportunity.
According to Pheelz, although he had followed Usher’s music from his childhood, he could not have imagined working with the music legend on a new compilation.
“I would listen to Usher almost every day, growing up…literally dive into his albums and just learn from him and to be able to write and produce…
“It was surprising for me…I am like I’m just a kid from Lagos. Why am I telling you what to do? It showed me how far the music has gone, and how far dreams can go as well,” Pheelz stated in an interview with Apple Music.
