Fashionista and music maker, Pharrell Williams and his counterpart, Miley Cyrus, have hit the airwaves with their new joint single, Doctor (Work It Out).

The official video, directed by Jacob Bixenman, has gained some one million hits on YouTube in less than 24 hours of release.

Williams and Cyrus had previously worked on Come Get It Bae, released in 2014. This makes the new single one of the finest collaborations in a long time between both singers.

The song has some seductive undertones as the performers talk about being each other’s “doctor or nurse.”

According to the singers, the new release dates back to 2012.

“You just never know. And there’s a moment where you feel like you feel the stickiness in something, but you may feel that the environment is not ready for it,” was quoted in an Apple Music interview.

Although she “believes so much in timing,” Cyrus thought the release of the song and everything else was “happening when it’s supposed to.”

“Around the Grammys, Pharrell and I were talking about putting the song out, and it just felt like it was so serendipitous, and there were so many alignments and so many moments that made me know that now was the perfect time,” she stated.

She added that the song “really needed” the nature, the celebration, the feeling, the joy, the dancing, the letting go,” as narrated.

Doctor (Work It Out) is the first song from Miley Cyrus to win Best Pop Solo Performance and Record of the Year at the 2024 Grammy Awards.

In December last year, award-winning Pharrell Williams also made waves with the single, Airplane Ticket, a collaboration with American rapper Swae Lee and Puerto Rican singer Rauw Alejandro.

The tune was weaved around giving ladies a special treat by way of excursions, international travel, and fashion. The video was shot in Hong Kong. This was after Pharrell William revealed his third fashion collection at the Men’s Fall-Winter 2024 Show in Paris after he became Creative Director for Louis Vuitton.
