An OnlyFans model faces second-degree murder charges after a man who paid her $11,000 for a filmed BDSM session suffocated and died in his Escondido, California home.
According to an arrest warrant affidavit from the Escondido Police Department, obtained by FOX 5 San Diego, Michaela Brashaye Rylaarsdam, now 31, was hired by 56-year-old Michael Dale in April 2023 to perform extreme fetish acts, including bondage and sadism.
The two connected in March 2023 after Dale found Rylaarsdam through an escort service ad. After weeks of communication, she agreed to visit his home on April 17.
The affidavit states that Dale, who appeared intoxicated upon her arrival at 6 p.m., paid her over $11,000 for the session. Over several hours, Rylaarsdam indulged his requests—wrapping him “like a mummy” in saran wrap, gluing women’s boots to his feet with Gorilla Glue, and sealing his eyes shut with adhesive, among other acts.
Things took a deadly turn when Dale stopped breathing. Police arrived to find him unconscious, with Rylaarsdam attempting CPR. She denied placing a bag over his head, claiming it was her first time performing such acts.

However, videos on her phone—recorded for her OnlyFans page—told a different story. Footage showed Dale struggling to breathe minutes before her 10:10 p.m. 911 call. Investigators noted duct tape over his mouth, a plastic bag on his head, and layers of saran wrap and tape tightly encasing his face and neck, estimating the bag was in place for at least eight minutes.
The San Diego County medical examiner ruled Dale’s death an asphyxia-related homicide.
While police found no evidence he explicitly requested the fatal head covering, they concluded Rylaarsdam’s actions led to his suffocation.
After a month-long probe, she was arrested on February 19 and charged with murder.
The San Bernardino County resident, who reportedly runs her OnlyFans account with her husband and father of her three children, has pleaded not guilty and is being held without bail at Las Colinas Detention Facility.
