Afrobeats singer and writer, Omah Lay, is working on his second studio album and teasing fans online, pending the announcement of an official release date.

The album will be called Clarity of Mind, according to the singer who gave a hint on his timeline early this week and changed his profile picture to that effect.

His followers had since responded to the post, asking him not to delay the release of the new project. The new compilation would follow the Boy Alone album released in July 2022.

Between that period and till date, the rockstar, known officially as Stanley Omah Didia released several singles and Extended Plays (EP) which resonated well with his fanbase.

In January this year, he published a stunning music video for his Holy Ghost single which was released sometime in November 2023.

The production attracted positive reactions from his followers who commended the quality video and the exciting choreographers in the production.

Before the Holy Ghost project, Omah Lay had been trending with songs like Soso and Reason (off his Boy Alone album).

He also served his followers with the Afrobeat record titled Infinity and another self-produced project called Bad Influence.

In 2023, he exceeded One billion streams on Spotify for all his music and began the European leg of his Boy Alone Tour in 2024.

During one of his performances in London, he drew criticism for inviting a female fan on stage to dance while her boyfriend was in attendance.

The talented performer had previously resolved to lead a new generation of the Afrobeats genre, saying fans should look out for more of his sounds in 2024 and beyond.

In an interview on Beat FM, London, in January, he explained that the single, Holy Ghost, represented the “new path” he was introducing to Afrobeats.

“I have started a new sound. I feel like the sound people identify as Afrobeats is going to change in 2024/2025, in the future. And I’m going to be one of the leaders of the new sound.

“I have started a new sound of Afrobeats and you’re going to hear more of that in 2024. ‘Holy Ghost’ is one of them. And I’m putting out an album. The album is going to consist of all of these new vibes,” he stated on the show.
