American Hiphop star Nicki Minaj has opened up on her recent surgery to reduce the size of her breasts.

According to the Pink Friday rapper, it was a behind-the-scenes moment from the 2022 Met Gala that convinced her undergo breast reduction surgery.

Nicki Minaj’s breasts nearly spilt out at Met Gala

In an appearance on Vogue’s Life In Looks, Minaj recalled worrying that her custom bustier would lead to a wardrobe malfunction on the A-list red carpet.

“I knew before we even left the room that the boobs were about to have a night of their own,” she remarked, citing supermodel Naomi Campbell’s pointed looks at her bold outfit.

The fashion misgiving proved the final straw for Minaj, who had grown tired of her breast size impacting clothing choices.

Nicki regrets past surgery decisions

However, speaking in a podcast interview, the queen of YouTube streams expressed a tinge of regret over past plastic surgery procedures more broadly.

“I guarantee you, if you change anything on your body and do anything surgical and all this, you’re going to – more than likely, not definitely, more than likely – look back one day and say, ‘I was fine just the way I was,'” she said.

For Minaj, last year’s Met Gala brought an epiphany about self-acceptance. The revealing outfit catalyzed taking control over her body through medical procedures.

Meanwhile,er ver Nicki Minaj wass reportedly infuriated after a track from her upcoming album, Pink Friday 2, illegally found its way to streaming platforms. 

With about one week to the release of the much-anticipated album, her fans are keenly waiting, as the musician has been teasing them with snippets of the album for months now. 

Fans reacted to the release of the possible album cover with comments such as “Trying to look like Cardi B… girl bye,” – criticizing some heavy effects used in the picture.
