Entertainer and Music Executive, Mr. Eazi, says he has invested in an artiste marketing platform called Un:hurd, as the company rolls out new tools for artistes and labels.

The singer made the announcement on Wednesday, saying he has been impressed with the services of the company, hence his decision to become an investor.  He, however, did not disclose the capital injected into the business.

“Having been a satisfied user of @UnHurd_ to market my own music, it is a pleasure to join the company and team as an investor,” Mr Eazi wrote on his social media handle.

The platform is raising funds to introduce new features, which include an artificial intelligence-driven (AI) marketing assistant, capable of helping artists improve their marketing campaigns through “suggestions for content, comprehensive marketing plans, and release schedules.”

Other new features, the company said, include a “fan hub” that enables artists to create “personalised websites through which they can collect data about their fans. The “fan hub” again allows artists to compare their marketing performance to that of their peers.

Un:hurd would also launch a web platform to complement its existing iOS app to help expand the business internationally. Some of the new features, according to the company, were already active, while others would be available in the weeks ahead.

Media reports indicate that the company, founded in 2021, has built a customer base of more than 70,000 artists since launching its mobile app in 2022, helping them to generate some 81 million Spotify streams in 2023 alone.

Apart from Mr. Eazi, other businessmen, including Dutch DJ and music producer Sam Feldt, are said to have invested in the company. Un:hurd has worked with some of the world’s biggest artists and influential record labels.

“We’ve spent a lot of time speaking to our 70,000-strong community of artists from 129 countries, and this suite of new features has been created to provide even more power to artists,” Un:hurd founder, Alex Brees, said in a statement.
