Country music performer Morgan Wallen has apologised for his misconduct reported early this month at a bar in Nashville, Tennessee.

He said he takes responsibility for his actions and would not want to hurt any police officer.

It would be recalled that The Everything I Love singer was arrested early in April after he reportedly threw a chair from a rooftop bar, six stories above street level.

Reports indicated he was charged with three felony counts of “reckless endangerment as well as disorderly conduct.”

Details of the arrest mentioned that a group of police officers were standing on Broadway outside Chief’s Bar in Nashville, a new establishment owned by Wallen’s friend and fellow country star Eric Church when a chair landed near them.

Members of staff at the bar told police officers that Wallen had thrown the chair, and the police later were able to view video of the singer “lunging and throwing an object over the roof.”

The singer, who is scheduled to appear in court on May 3, posted an apology on his X (formally Twitter) page, saying: “I didn’t feel right publicly checking in until I made amends with some folks…“I’ve touched base with Nashville law enforcement, my family, and the good people at Chief’s. I’m not proud of my behaviour, and I accept responsibility.”

He continued: “I have the utmost respect for the officers working every day to keep us all safe…”

Morgan Wallen is currently on his ‘One Night at A Time’ tour, scheduled to end August 8, 2024, and says his tour dates will not change. He will also headline the 2024 edition of BST Hyde Park in London on July 4, 2024.

Some followers who reacted to the singer’s misconduct in Nashville said Morgan “needed to control his intake of alcohol before he got into bigger trouble.”
