The guest list at President Donald Trump’s inauguration next Monday would not include former first lady, Michelle Obama, a source close has told some outlets.

The insider info comes days after Michelle Obama made headlines for missing former President Jimmy Carter’s state funeral.

Her absence at the Carter funeral, according to some reports, was due to “a scheduling conflict” and an extended holiday vacation in Hawaii. It is, however, not clear why she would not be at the Trump inauguration on January 20.

President Trump will assume office for the second time, following his massive endorsement in the November 2024 election.

The ceremony is often witnessed by former presidents and their families, but it appears former president Barack Obama would have to attend the gathering alone on the scheduled date.

Some reports indicate that many high-profile guests would grace the occasion, nonetheless.

Though it is not clear why Michelle Obama would not be present, some rumors suggest her absence could be linked to Trump’s refusal to attend outgoing President Joe Biden’s swearing-in ceremony in 2021.

In July last year, a staunch supporter of Donald Trump, Roseanne Barr, extended rumors that Michelle Obama was a potential nominee for the Democrats in the run-up to the 2024 election.

The supporter spoke with Newsmax host Todd Starnes, parroting the theory that former president Barack Obama had been pulling the strings of the Biden administration behind the scenes.

At the time, the conservative comedian suggested Michelle Obama, could be eyeing the presidency.

Prior to Roseanne Barr’s comment, Texas Senator Ted Cruz had also said he felt that President Biden would be dropped and Michelle would “be their candidate.”

“I think they’re gonna look to Michelle Obama as the savior to come in,” he continued. “…I think if that happens, that would be very, very dangerous, and every time I see a Democrat or one of their puppets in the press beginning to point out the problems with Joe Biden — every time that happens, they are chances of that go up and up and up,” Ted Cruz was quoted.

Despite the speculation, Kamala Harris became the Democratic nominee after President Joe Biden pulled his brakes in the race.

The vice president won the support of major political figures and celebrities but lost the general election in November last year.
