In the coming weeks, Meghan Markle will start filming her new lifestyle Netflix series as she pursues her dream of being a big name in Television.
Multiple online sources reported that the show is set to begin filming soon and will feature her recently launched lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard.
The Daily Mail is said to have broken the story first, quoting a source as saying, “The brand is meant to coincide with the launch of a new cookery show for Netflix.”
Meghan is going to be producing and retailing items like preserves. There will also eventually be a book and a blog.
The 42-year-old debuted her new lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard, on Thursday with a website, some social media posts, and an ambiguous promotional video.
Page Six, which had originally disclosed the show last month, was informed by a source that the new project will revolve around Meghan’s passion for all things food, home, and gardening and serve as a makeover for her previous blog, The Tig.
“She’s been working on this for more than a year, and it encompasses everything she is passionate about and dear to her heart,” an insider told Page Six.
Netflix’s chief content officer did, however, confirm that last month, Meghan and her husband were working on “a couple of unscripted things.”
Markle and Prince Harry signed a $152 million contract with Netflix in 2020; the agreement will expire in 2025.
Additional information available online states that their Netflix deal will not be renewed after it expires. Markle is therefore attempting to utilize the remaining time to establish herself in the lifestyle sector.
Along with Meghan’s new lifestyle program, she’d collaborate with Harry to produce a Meet Me By the Lake movie and an African documentary.
The former royal family made headlines with their explosive documentary Harry & Meghan, which debuted in December 2022 and quickly rose to the top of Netflix’s most-streamed documentaries.
“You see, Netflix, Meghan and Harry received exactly what they desired. If you consider the popularity of the Harry and Meghan documentary, it was a good deal for them both” an additional source claimed.
Amidst her pursuit of being one of the biggest names on TV, Meghan revealed that she was working with Lemonada Media on a new podcast, following her split from Spotify for her previous podcast, Archetypes.
