Megan Thee Stallion and South Korean hitmaker, PSY, will feature in a new Apple TV+ reality series titled KPOPPED, show producers have announced.
With Lionel Richie as one of the executive producers, the eight-episode song battle series would be ready later this year.

Apple TV+ says the series will feature “Western icons reimagining one of their biggest hits, collaborating with top-tier K-pop idols to deliver spectacular battle performances, with a live Seoul-based audience picking the winner of the best new K-popped song.”
Megan Thee Stallion, among other things, is expected to perform her song Savage on the show. PSY, known for his hit song Gangnam Style would also contribute significantly in another aspect.
KPOPPED is said to be Apple TV+’s latest entry into the unscripted competition series space. The outlet is said to have previously aired a similar show titled My Kind of Country, which placed the spotlight on country music.
Last December, Megan Thee Stallion sought more protection as her nemesis, Tory Lanez, continued to serve the jail term.

She filed a restraining order on Tuesday, December 17, requesting the Los Angeles Superior Court to prevent Tory Lanez (aka Daystar Peterson) from “orchestrating harassment” against her through third parties while in prison.
Court documents, made available to some news outlets, alleged that Tory Lanez had been harassing Megan from prison through social media and utilizing third parties.

Before this, Megan premiered her much-anticipated project Megan: In Her Own Words at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood.
The film tells the behind-the-scenes story of the singer’s rise to fame. It also provides some insight into her life at the time the Tory Lanez shooting case was being heard in court.

In her speech at the premiere, she thanked her fans and her parents for their unflinching support.
“…I want to thank each and every one of you for coming to the premiere of my documentary. Your support means the world to me. And this process has been years in the making,” she stated.
