Singer Mary J. Blige has announced her 2025 tour dubbed “The For My Fans Tour.” She is said to be joined on the trip by R&B superstars Ne-Yo and Mario.
The tour follows the release of her fifteenth studio album, Gratitude, expected to be released on November 15th. Both the tour and album are labeled as “celebrations of the love and gratitude” that the New York City native has for her life, family, friends, and beloved fans.
The 27-city excursion produced by Live Nation will kick off on January 30, 2025, in Greensboro, and make stops across North America in Atlanta, Los Angeles, New York, and more before winding down at TD Garden in Boston, on April 14, 2025.
“I am so excited to kick off this tour. I have amazing fans and am so grateful for all of the love and support they have given me throughout the years.
“This tour is for them, and I cannot wait to be able to travel to all these cities and see everyone. I am in such a place of immense gratitude and peace at this moment, so also having the chance to release my new album “Gratitude” ahead of this tour is special to me,” Mary J. Blige stated.
The album will be released through Blige’s Beautiful Life Productions in partnership with 300 Entertainment. In August, the celebrated performer released the first single off the album, titled Breathing featuring Fabolous.
Tickets for the tour will start selling on Friday, October 4, 2024, at 10 AM local time. Ahead of the 30th anniversary of her sophomore album, My Life, in August, the rap queen revealed why her album remained dear to her heart.
Speaking in a Billboard chat, she touched on the impact of the record, adding that she was “in a dark place” when she worked on the 1994 project.
“That album is so important because it was so pivotal for when it came time for me to choose…”I was in a dark place where I didn’t wanna live, and I was begging people to love me and stay with me.
“Now, I’m not begging anyone to love and stay with me. I love myself. I found my real love. My true love is myself and I,” she noted, with a firm conviction that the album played a part in her “self-love journey,” she stated.
