Madonna Fires Back At Donald Trump: A Bold Response

Pop icon Madonna has expressed her opinions about US President Donald Trump‘s current actions.

Following a controversial tweet from the official White House X account on Wednesday, February 19, Madonna made her most recent remarks on Trump. They shared a phony Time magazine cover with Trump’s name changed in the title and the words “long live the king” written as a caption above a smiling, crown-wearing President.

Trump’s comment, “CONGESTION PRICING IS DEAD,” was included with the post, which was posted after his government ordered New York to stop using congestion pricing. New York as a whole, including Manhattan, is saved. LONG LIVE THE KING.

Given the same conditions under which America was initially established, it is understandable that the tweet immediately garnered criticism from those who saw the irony of the White House referring to Trump as a king. Madonna was among those individuals who criticized the post on her Instagram Stories.

“I thought this country was built by Europeans, escaping living under the rule of a King, to establish a New World governed by the people,” she wrote. “Currently, we have a president who calls himself our King. If this is a joke, I’m not laughing,” Madonna stated.

More recently, Madonna reacted to Trump’s several executive orders that repealed protections for LGBTQIA+ people and members of other oppressed communities, as well as his numerous directives that eliminated diversity, equality, and inclusion posts throughout government branches and agencies.
