At the debut of MTV’s The Surreal Life: Villa of Secrets, Macy Gray disclosed that she prefers “cocaine” to “hippie sh*t” and that she utilizes alcohol and drugs to relieve stress.

During her introduction to the latest season of MTV’s The Surreal Life: Villa of Secrets, the vocalist who is known for her outspokenness, disclosed that she takes drugs and alcohol as a form of relaxation.

“I just don’t do the hippie shit. Like I live in LA, that’s hippie kingdom. If I’m healing, that’s not how I do it,” she said.

When asked what she prefers instead, she revealed, “Like cocaine and a couple [of] shots. Get those edibles down my throat, and I’m good, girl. Then order me a pizza, and I’m straight. I don’t need all that sh*t; I’m good.”

Speaking with US Weekly about the upcoming reality TV show, Macy Gray stated, “It was undoubtedly novel to me. It has been a very long time since I had housemates. I didn’t know anyone personally, but I did know who they were.”

Other contestants on the show in addition to Gray include Josie Canseco, Johnny Weir, O.T. Genasis, Tyler Posey, Ally Brooke, Kim Zolciak, and Chet Hanks.

It however appears Macy Gray is not the only contestant who likes cocaine.

During a recent appearance on Bradley Martyn’s Raw Talk podcast, it is reported that Chet Hanks discussed his own cocaine addiction and even referred to himself as a “fucking cokehead”.

Hanks went on, “That’s my drug of choice,” adding that other heavy cocaine users would encourage him to “chill” since he was using so much coke.

The eight celebrities who were cast for this season will live together under one roof in Medellín, Colombia, and be “pushed to their limits with missions aimed at unpacking their past and uncovering their deepest secrets.”

TMZ claims that during the show, these famous contestants will learn some breathing exercises in the Colombian highlands.

New episodes air on MTV every Tuesday at 9:00 p.m. ET.
