Lupe Fiasco, in a now-deleted tweet, took the time to deny that he apologized to Kendrick Lamar in 2018 when he stated the Compton native was “not a top-tier lyricist.”

Lupe Fiasco’s tweet was in response to an article by Complex News in which they listed multiple rappers who apologized to Kendrick Lamar. “Relax yo… I wasn’t apologizing to him lol,” he wrote in a since-deleted tweet. “I was sorry about the entire shindig because it was such a waste of time and energy in something that had nothing to do with me.” He added: “Keep my name clean… I fear no rapper of any kind or on anytime… K dot solid but y’all need to chill lol.”

In the year 2018 on X, Lupe explained why he felt like Kendrick Lamar wasn’t a top lyricist. According to him, Lamar is not a top-tier lyricist to him and his standards, insofar as it relates to punchlines and bars. He added that Lamar’s lyrics are good and his stories phenomenal, but he fails to lyrically see the punchline entendre.

Lupe subsequently made a video in which he seemingly apologized to Kendrick. In the video, he explained that in hindsight, it would have been best to have avoided passing such comments.

In other news, Drake has allegedly reacted to news of J Cole apologizing to Kendrick Lamar.

In recent times, Drake has been engulfed in a feud with the two artists, and it appears he has teamed up with J Cole against Lamar.

Even though Cole hasn’t responded to Lamar’s “Like That”, he delivered a surprise album, Might Delete Later,’ which included a new song titled “7 Minute Drill”, which was aimed at Lamar’s discography skills.

However, in a change of heart, Cole took to the stage at Dreamville Fest on the night of Sunday, April 7, 2024, and apologized for the role he played in the beef, this made his fans livid, as they expressed their shock on social media.
